In the 21st century, the digital revolution has accelerated the pace of information dissemination, but it has also influenced individual thinking, behavior, and social interaction—giving rise to concepts like the "echo chamber." An echo chamber refers to a situation in which a person is exposed only to those ideas and information that reinforce their pre-existing beliefs. This tendency has been further intensified by the algorithmic functioning of social networking sites, leading to issues such as confirmation bias, ideological polarization, and a decline in critical thinking. This article analyzes the concept of the echo chamber, its formation in the digital context, and its impact on the educational system. It also proposes potential strategies to address this issue through digital literacy, multi-source-based learning, interactive activities, and policy-making within the education system.
