Domestic violence is a major issue in rural India, driven by entrenched gender norms, economic disparities, and limited access to resources. This paper explores its prevalence, causes, and consequences, including psychological trauma and social isolation. Despite legal measures and awareness efforts, underreporting and cultural barriers remain challenges. Addressing domestic violence in rural India demands legal reforms, community education, and better support services.
