Terms and Conditions

Last updated: 3 September 2026

These terms govern your use of www.irjhis.com, the website of the International Research Journal of Humanities and Interdisciplinary Studies (IRJHIS), ISSN 2582-8568, published by Shreyas Publication, Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar (Aurangabad), Maharashtra, India. In these terms, "we", "us" and "the Journal" mean IRJHIS and Shreyas Publication, and "you" means the person using this website or submitting a manuscript.

Please read these terms together with our Privacy Policy, Publication Ethics, Peer Review Policy and Publication Guidelines, all of which form part of your agreement with us.

1. Acceptance of these terms

By creating an account, submitting a manuscript, making a payment, or otherwise using this website, you confirm that you have read, understood and agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not create an account or submit a manuscript.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years of age to create an account. By submitting a manuscript you confirm that you have the authority to do so, and that you are acting on your own behalf or with the authority of every co-author named in the submission.

3. Your account

You agree to provide accurate and current information when registering, and to keep it up to date. You are responsible for keeping your password confidential and for all activity that takes place under your account. Please tell us at once, at editor@irjhis.com, if you believe your account has been accessed by anyone else. Do not share an account between several people, and do not create multiple accounts for the same author.

4. Submitting a manuscript

When you submit a manuscript to the Journal, you warrant that:

  • the work is original, is your own, and does not infringe the copyright, moral rights or any other rights of any other person;
  • it has not been published elsewhere, and is not currently under consideration by any other journal or publisher;
  • it contains nothing unlawful, defamatory, or plagiarised, and all sources are properly acknowledged and cited;
  • any research involving human participants was carried out with appropriate consent and, where required, ethical approval;
  • every co-author named has seen and approved the submission, has agreed to be named, and is aware that their name, designation, institutional affiliation and related details are being provided to us and will be published if the paper is accepted; and
  • you have each co-author's authority to provide their personal details to us for this purpose.

Manuscripts are checked for plagiarism using suitable software. We may reject or withdraw a submission at any stage if these warranties are found to be untrue.

5. Identification documents — what not to upload

Where we ask you to upload proof of identity, we mean institutional or professional identification — for example a college or university identity card, an employee identity card, or a letter of affiliation on institutional letterhead.

Please do not upload your Aadhaar card, or any document showing an Aadhaar number. Equally, please do not upload a PAN card, passport, voter identity card, driving licence, bank passbook, cheque, card details, or any other government-issued identity document — whether your own or belonging to a co-author or any other person.

We do not ask for these documents, we do not require them, and we have no use for them in assessing or publishing your work.

If such a document is uploaded despite this instruction, then:

  • it is uploaded on your own initiative and contrary to our express written instructions, and not at our request;
  • you confirm that you are the person to whom the document relates, or that you have that person's authority to provide it;
  • we may delete it at any time without notice, and may do so without opening or reading it;
  • we do not use it, and will not use it, for identity authentication, and we do not record or store an Aadhaar number as data in our systems; and
  • we may return or reject your submission and ask you to supply acceptable identification instead.

You agree to indemnify us against any loss, claim, penalty or expense we incur as a direct result of your uploading a document in breach of this clause — in particular where the document relates to a person other than yourself and was provided without their authority.

For the avoidance of doubt: this clause records that such documents are neither requested nor required by us. It does not purport to exclude or limit any duty we owe under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 or any other applicable law in respect of personal data that is in fact in our possession, and we do not seek to exclude those duties. Our commitments regarding such documents are set out in our Privacy Policy. If you believe you have uploaded an Aadhaar or other government identity document, please write to editor@irjhis.com and we will delete it.

6. Files you upload

Uploads must be in the formats we specify on each form. You must not upload executable files, scripts, macros, or any file intended to interfere with the website or with other users. We check uploads and will reject anything that does not match the format requested.

7. Peer review and editorial decisions

Submissions are considered under our Peer Review Policy, which operates on a double-blind basis. Submission does not guarantee publication. Editorial decisions, including acceptance, requests for revision, and rejection, rest with the Editor-in-Chief and are final. We are not obliged to give detailed reasons for a decision, and we do not return submitted material.

8. Publication charges

Publication charges, and the stage at which they become payable, are set out on our Publication Charges page. Payment is taken through a third-party payment gateway; we do not receive or store your card, UPI or net-banking credentials. Charges cover the costs of processing, review and publication and are not a guarantee of acceptance. Once processing of a paper has begun, charges are non-refundable except at our discretion. If a payment fails or is duplicated, please contact us and we will investigate.

9. Copyright and licensing

Copyright in your paper is dealt with by the copyright form you sign and upload as part of the submission process, and the terms of that form apply. By submitting, you grant us the right to publish, reproduce, distribute and archive your paper and its metadata in the Journal, on this website, and through our indexing partners, in print and electronic form. You retain the right to be identified as the author.

10. The published record

Once a paper is published and a DOI has been assigned, it forms part of the permanent scholarly record. Digital Object Identifiers are intended to resolve permanently, and other researchers may cite your work. For that reason we do not remove published papers, author names as printed, or citation details on request.

Where a published paper needs to be corrected or withdrawn — for example because of a serious error, plagiarism, or an ethical concern — that is handled as a correction or a retraction under our Publication Ethics, with a public notice, rather than by deleting the paper. This is explained further under Your rights in our Privacy Policy.

11. Acceptable use of this website

You must not:

  • attempt to access any account, manuscript, document or administrative function that does not belong to you;
  • use automated tools to submit papers, create accounts, or download content in bulk, or otherwise place an unreasonable load on the website;
  • attempt to probe, scan or test the security of the website, or bypass any access control;
  • copy or redistribute the Journal's content beyond what copyright law and the applicable licence permit; or
  • use this website for any unlawful purpose.

We monitor access to submitted documents and record administrative actions. We may suspend or close an account, and refuse further submissions, where we consider these terms have been breached.

12. Availability

We aim to keep this website available but cannot promise it will be uninterrupted or error-free. We may suspend access for maintenance, and may change or withdraw features. Please keep your own copy of anything you upload; we are not a backup service for your work.

13. Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, loss of profit, loss of academic or professional opportunity, or loss of data, arising from your use of this website. Nothing in these terms limits any liability that cannot lawfully be limited, including liability for fraud, or any statutory duty we owe in respect of personal data.

14. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify us against any claim, loss, penalty or expense arising from a breach by you of these terms — in particular from a breach of the warranties in clause 4 (originality and co-author authority) or clause 5 (identification documents), or from a third party's claim that your paper infringes their rights.

15. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The date at the top shows when they were last changed. Where a change is significant we will say so on this page. Continuing to use the website after a change means you accept the updated terms.

16. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts at Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar (Aurangabad), Maharashtra, shall have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them.
