Abstract:
Almora district is one of the prominent hilly districts in Uttarakhand known for its natural beauty, cultural heritage, and archeological significance. This research paper analyzes the possibilities of rural tourism in Almora district. The study finds that this area has the potential for environmental tourism, village tourism, and heritage tourism. However, challenges such as lack of basic facilities, poor promotion, and lack of awareness among locals pose obstacles. With appropriate plans and initiatives, these challenges can be addressed, and Almora district can be developed as a successful rural tourism destination.
