Abstract:

Political development plays a central role in the progress and stability of any society as it influences its political thinking, culture, governance system, and citizen participation. Political development in Indian society has shaped the development of the democratic system. Panchayati Raj is the foundation of India's democratic governance system, strengthening local administration. Women's participation in it not only strengthens democratic ideals but also promotes democratic values such as gender equality, education, social justice, and inclusiveness within political development in society. Women's active participation makes the Panchayati Raj system more inclusive and effective, ensuring women's political, social, and economic participation in society. In India, women play a crucial role in maintaining morality, tradition, and harmony within society, families, communities, and social structures, based on political development. Women's participation in Panchayati Raj (Panchayati Raj) integrates these values with the democratic system. This value-aligned participation not only promotes women's empowerment but also contributes to the development of rural society as a whole and plays a crucial role in political development. Political development is not solely dependent on institutional changes but is also influenced by democratic values.
