NEP-2020 is the first education policy of this century in this identification of basic life skills for the complete development of the child is started from the foundation stage itself. Where as in primary education the focus is on teaching the child how to learn and collaboration along with language and writing and NCERT is expected to identify life skills and prepare curriculum for students. Keeping the health of children in mind. “Fit India movement” program has also been started. Even at the secondary level there are curriculum for children to acquire vocational skills rationality and efficiency. Skill development programs are to be conducted in schools every year for children from class 6 to 12 in a “10 day No bag period” in higher education and teacher education also by identifying various skills and providing opportunities to students, standards have also been set for evaluation of these skills. In this way by identifying life skills at every stage of education, many opportunities for personal skill development have been provided to children according to their interest and ability.
