Abstract:

**Abstract:** The present study examines the status of community participation in the School Health and Wellness Programme implemented under Ayushman Bharat, with special reference to Udaipur district. The study is situated within the framework of public policy and participatory governance in Political Science. Using a descriptive survey method, data collected from 80 parents and 200 students were analyzed on the basis of frequency and percentage. The findings reveal that parents and students generally hold a positive perception of the programme. Students demonstrated favorable views regarding health awareness, hygiene, life skills, and the overall utility of the programme. Parents also acknowledged its positive impact on health and behavioral outcomes; however, the need to further strengthen their direct participation emerged clearly. The study concludes that the School Health and Wellness Programme is an important public policy initiative that not only promotes health at the local level but also contributes to strengthening school–family participation.
