The agricultural landscape in Pune district is rapidly transitioning from traditional farming to commercial agribusiness. This study evaluates the current agribusiness practices adopted by local farmers, focusing on the systemic enablers and barriers to this transition. By examining financial, operational, and regulatory factors, the research aims to provide actionable insights into how farmers can optimize their yield, profitability, and global market reach. Agribusiness is a broad term that inclusive all activities related to the production, processing, and distribution of agricultural products. It integrates the supply of inputs like seeds, fertilizers, and machinery (input sector), the actual farming activities (farm sector), and the processing and distribution of agricultural products to the final consumer (product sector). This holistic approach ensures the efficient functioning of the agricultural supply chain, contributing significantly to the global economy.
